Long day in North London!
The 1st early test of the season at Emirates and it got off to a flying start with Morgan Rogers scoring two minutes after kickoff stunning the reigning champions, Arsenal, but it proved difficult to score the rest of the match against one of the toughest defenses in the Premier League.
Three chances, one off the post by Pedro Neto, a Reece James shot from outside the box, and a Estevao curler both saved by David Raya as the Gunners slowly pushed the Blues to the limit as the match wore on, fiinally leveled in the 25th minute from Kai Havertz. Early into the 2nd half, the lads got caught out on a cheeky dummy from Havertz allowing the ball to Martin Odegaard who put the North London rivals ahead to winning it 2-1. This was always going to be a tough match and it’s early enough in the campaign to test the lads and see where they stack up. There is still work to do.
Up next, newly promoted Hull City visits Stamford Bridge as they have started off strong to start the season. Both teams are 3rd & 4th, respectively in the currently at the moment and look to keep up with the league leaders.
Come down to the Londoner Addison this Saturday morning and kick it with the Shed End Dallas crew. We look forward to seeing you there!
Cheers,
Shed End Dallas
